Regional Culture In Indonesia 
 
Ethnic group:
Indonesian consist of more than 300 ethnic group. There are more than 500 regional languages in Indonesia. Each ethnic group speak its regional language. Each ethnic has its specific culture which related to the birth , the way of life , and to the death.

Ceremony :
in Java island, especially in Javanese tribe tradition, the family hold the sacred ceremony when a moher is in her first sevn month old pregnancy. It is hoe that the mother and the baby will be sae and healthy. It is called “mitoni” come from “pitu” which means seven.

Architecture:
There are many kinds of house architectures and structures. In Papua the male family live in Honai and the famale live in Ebai. In south Selawesi (Toraja) a family live in Tongkonan. There are some other kinds of house, like Lamin in Kalimantan (Borneo) , lie Joglo in Java, Gadang house in West Sumatra, and so on.

Dance:
If you are interested in dancing, you can find hundred kinds of dances. Some of them are “Gambyong” from Central Java, “Legong, Kecak, Pendet,” from Bali, “ Jaipong” from West Java, “Lilin Dance”from West Sumatra, and many others.

Song and Dresses:
each tribe has its own folk songs and traditional costumes. Each regian has its own musical intruments. In Java and Bali people use “Gamelan” orchestra made of bronze. North Sulawesi has “Kolintang” made of special wood, Aceh has “Rebana”, and Papua and Maluku have special small drums called “Tifa” .

Unity:
Although there are so many tribes with different cultures and regional languages, they are united in one nation that have only one motherland, and one language, that is Indonesia. They are also united because they have only one way of life, that is Pancasila (The Five Principles). “Long Live Indonesia “.
